Keeping Up With The Coopmans

Hey All!

Towards the end of last year, we got to celebrate the union of Juslyn & Alec. She found us after we worked with her brother Justin and sister-in-law. Yes, another Dulay! When we found out, we were ecstatic!

It’s been a while since we did an intimate wedding. We are glad we got to spend the first one in a while with Juslyn & Alec. Thanks guys for having us share the special day with you and your family!

Enjoy the quick photo recap of the day guys!

Dulay vs Vanapruks Part II

Happy New Year All!

It’s been a crazy year in 2018. In fact, it’s been so crazy that we weren’t able to post all the events we wanted :(

But the world deserves to see the awesome people we work with!

One such event was Sarah & Justin’s engagement. As you all may know, we did their epic save the date pictures, which was transformed (special thanks to Amanda Hipolito) into a crazy fight poster!

Take a quick look into their engagement session. As you can tell, we had a BLAST!

May you all have an awesome 2019!

Francis

*Their wedding was crazy epic, but we’ll save that blog post for another time ;)

Dulay vs Vanapruks

Happy Saturday All!

It's not too often you get called to photograph a face-off... of a different kind :)

I've been friends with Justin for a few years, ever since the first time I photographed one of his kickboxing fights.  The more I photographed combat sports, the more I was able to talk stories with him and get to know him.  Naturally, I ended up meeting his other half Sarah, who has been a huge supporter of Justin in his martial arts accolades.  She always said that we would photograph more than just fights for them... After years of being together, Justin FINALLY popped the question!  And with that, the famous #itsabouttimejustindulay hashtag was born!  Haha!

What started as a joke on Justin's end, ended up becoming reality in the form of their save the date!  Of the engagements and save the dates we have done in the past, this was the first of it's kind!  Can't wait to see this one!  Justin Dulay vs Sarah Vanapruks!  She will be fighting for his last name!  Clever and cute!  Peep a small sample guys!

*Special thanks to Amanda Hipolito for piecing the graphic design for the fight poster!

A Maili Beach Wedding With Kelly & Bradda Boy

My oh my where has the time gone?  Can we call this *Time Flies Tuesday?* hehe.  It's been a little over a year since we shot Kelly & Bradda Boy's wedding, and we would like to say happy one year anniversary guys!  It was quite an experience.  Early that morning, we weren't sure if we would be dealing with yucky rain, as it had been raining the previous days and the forecast was indeed gloomy.  Right up until an hour or so before the ceremony, the sun gracefully made it's appearance.

The ceremony and reception were filled with joyful memories, all enjoyed by the company of Kelly & Bradda Boy's friends and family.  Thank you guys for choosing us to capture such memories!

If it's one thing special I heard throughout that day, it was from Bradda Boy's mom, Monica.  Aunty Monica told and assured me "Francis, prayers ALWAYS WORK".  Thank you aunty for that awesome piece of wisdom.  Happy one year Kelly & Bradda Boy!!!

Wedding At Waianae With Ashley & Jace

This wedding blog post was supposed to have gone up a LONG time ago, but we didn't have a blog yet :(...  Thankfully, after moving our site and integrating things over, (as you all can already tell) we now have a blog yay!!!

This was actually our first wedding as Francis Philip Quibilan Photography.  Just my lovely better half and I (she's an awesome assistant/partner!).

Kainani & Jace are basically gym family to us (we trained Muay Thai under the same roof as 808 Top Team).  Kainani and her father, MMA legend, Ron *The Machine Gun* Jhun joked about us shooting their wedding.  We laughed about it until we found out their wedding was about a week from that day!

Regardless of it being close and time constrained, we had a blast covering it.  We learned so much from it, and are blessed to this day for having the Jhun/Kaopua family use us as their wedding photographers.  Enjoy!
